How to measure a hat size?
Heads come in different sizes and shapes and it is very important that you choose the correct panama hat size when ordering.
Average sizes such as Exta Large, Large, Médium and Small are not the best measure sizes when buying a hat since they may not always fit well. Although Panama Hats are adaptable and will usually stretch to different shapes after wearing them, it is better to specify the correct size of your head.
If you don't know your exact hat size and you are not sure on how to measure it, you can measure the circumference around your head by using a tape measure or if you do not have one you can use a string and then measure it against a ruler.
The measurement level should be where a hat would normally rest, that is above the ears and above the eyebrows ridges. While measuring keep the tape firm but not tight beacause an little space is needed so the hat can breathe.
